VACATION!!!!

First off, I love going on vacation, because I don't have to do anything!!! Someone else feeds us, entertains us, and cleans up after us! We got to go to Zions over the weekend, staying in a hotel thurs and friday night. It was so nice just to let the kids run our schedule. When they were hungry we ate, when he wanted to hike, we hiked! When he wanted to swim we swam! Each night they were both asleep within 2 min of when they hit the pillows! We had 2 very full days, we got 3 decent hikes in, lots of swimming, an animal museum, apple picking, and lots of great food. We even heard elk bugling at each other and got to feed ostriches! It was so great to be able to give undivided attention to both kids at all times. I must share a few quotes from the man himself. We were in the car driving to a hike and we were talking about staying over night in the hotel. He says "Yeah, someday when I growed bigger I'm gonna lib in that hotel, and I'm gonna lib without you mommy and without you daddy. Then I will get in my car and buckle and dribe to you and pick you up in my car to see me." OK! STOP RIGHT THERE! My 3 year old just expressed way to much independence for me to handle!!! I got all teary eyed cause I couldn't believe that he was already thinking about leaving me! I said, "Oh, Kai :( " He said, "Don't worry Mom, I will always come pick you up." That's right future daughter in law, HE WILL ALWAYS COME PICK ME UP!!! Anyway, he was a total crack up, we so enjoy his spunky personality. On our last day after we had just gotten done picking apples in the orchard we were all sitting on the lawn eating ice cream and he says, "Mom, We sure enjoyed it here." OK!!! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Not to mention that that sounded like it came from the mouth of a 10 yr old. Love it, Love him.

It's Not Everyday You Get to Ride an Elephant!

We went to the circus over the weekend and had a great time. Kailer loved seeing all the (his new word for the week) "ACROBATS" doing lots of tricks and stunts. To which we owe the credit for all the stunts and tricks being done in our house now! Watch out Evil Canevil here he comes. There were tons of animals. He loved the tigers and elephants and Meili of course loved the music. She was shakin' booty like nobody's buisness. We all had a great time. Kailer even got to ride an elephant! I wish I would have gotten to enjoy it more though, as I forgot that circus = animals = allergies = asthma = brain can't think about anything else but breathing. Lucky me I forgot to bring an inhaler. Anyway, all was well later, after several puffs :) What great fun! Life is good.

Photo Shoot!!!

My awesome friend took some beautiful pics of the kids together for Meili's birthday. Kailer did really well and really wanted to be lovey dovey with Meili. Sadly, she didn't want to have anything to do with him, so she threw lots of fits and was pretty moody. He however, was very proud of his new boots we got for him the night before. He showed them off with pride! Meili brightened up after we broke out the marshmallows following an outfit change. We got some really good ones after a little sugar was involved! We are so grateful for our friend, she did a great job! You can check them out at http://cid-9fe84ca039c2366f.skydrive.live.com/albums.aspx Here's a sneek peek!

Officially One!

It's official. I now have a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old! I can't believe it has gone by so fast. We celebrated Meili's birthday over the weekend and we were so excited to have both grandpas and grandma stay with us. We enjoyed some quality relaxation and just enjoyed each other. My mom and I stayed up till midnight the night before and we made a pink heart cake with a butterfly on it and heart cupcakes. It turned out so cute, it was hard to think that our masterpiece was going to be destroyed in .5 seconds! We celebrated at the park and it was super windy. Other than needing to tape everything down, including the chips on our plate, all went well! It was seriously so windy food was blowing off our plates! Meili enjoyed her cake even though she didn't get a lit candle. We actually had to cut her off because she was starting to inhale the frosting. She sneezed pink for an hour afterward. Kailer even got a couple of presents out of the whole deal. He had as much fun as if it was his own party. Thanks everyone for coming out in the HURRICANE! We love our Meili so much and we are so grateful for what joy she brings to our home. Thanks for helping us make her day special. WE LOVE YOU MEILI!

New Slide Show Pics!!!

I posted new slide show pics and here are a couple of others. I finally got my fourwheeling picture. Kailer is a maniac! We even threw Meili on. However, she definately was not into it. I couldn't tell if it was the fact that she and I were separated momentarily or if she just hated the ride. Maybe a lot of both!
This last week we took the kids to Paris! Ok, so just Paris on the strip. We got to swim in the pool thanks to our awesome friend and even more importantly Kailer got his picture taken by the Eiffel Tower!
I Can't Believe Meili will be 1 on Friday! She is so funny. She loves shoes and handbags. She will throw any bag over her shoulder and try to take it with her no matter how heavy it may be! She is obsessed with shoes and tries desprately to get anyones on her feet. The obsession has started early. I think we are in trouble with her. We love her loads and can't wait for family and a party this weekend! Don't forget about the new slide show pics!

Pine Valley

We got a weekend off and decided to take advantage of it. Our friends were going to their cabin, which is really a 3 bedroom house not really a cabin at all, in Pine Valley which is just west of St. George. It is a quaint little town nestled in a valley. It even had a little lake! My sister Deanna also planned to meet us there, so we were excited to see her and her husband again. We stopped off at the temple before we left St. George and got some pictures. Kailer was very concerned that it did not have Moroni on top of it. Rich had to explain that it was so old that it didn't have moroni then he relaxed a little. If the child just wasn't so detail oriented! Not sure where he gets that from, I don't know anyone else like that.... We got there and did a lot of 4 wheeling and fishing. Kailer was glued to the 4 wheelers all weekend and I can't believe I didn't get a picture of it! Meili learned to say fish. The second visit to the lake we were walking up and she started saying, "ish! ish! ish! ish! ish! ish!" Every time somone caught one she was hollering and pointing. We also got to go on a hike at Snow Canyon. It had petrified sand dunes and they looked so awesome! We got great pictures there as well. All in all there was great food, great friends, and great fun!

This last week was our 7th year anniversary and we partied like rockstars! Well not really. We did get to go to a Cirque Du Soleil called KA. It was a really awesome show. I can't even describe what it was like, there were tons of dangerous acrobatic tricks, awesome dancing, crazy baton twirlers and so much more. The stage was amazing, it moved all over and even vertical. They hung on rods and danced through the rods while it was vertical. It was crazy. Rich and I had a great dinner, thanks to our friends/babysitters, and we even got a picture in front of the Welcome to Las Vegas sign! It was a great night for us. We are so happy with what are 7 years have brought us! Here's to another 7!
