We spent this last weekend with my family in Vernal, as my brother Daniel spoke at church in preparation for his mission. He actually went into the Missionary Training Center today. We can't believe he will be gone for 2 years, but we are so excited for him!

So, tonight we were doing family home evening with Kailer and we decided to talk about missionary work. We were reading Matthew 4: 18-19 and to summarize it says something like this, "Cast away your nets... come follow me and I will make ye fishers of men." So, Kai of course is totally into the discussion (fishing pole in hand). He throws down his pole and starts walking away from us.
Me: Kai where are you going?
K: I'm going to follow Jesus.
Rich and I looked at eachother and were speechless! We couldn't believe that he understood at that level what those scriptures were saying. At 2 years old! They are never too young to learn basic principles! What an awesome little dude!
Later he was coloring a picture for Daniel and I hear, "MOM IT'S BROKEN! IT DOESN'T WORK!" I turn around and he's got a white crayon trying to color on the white paper. Good times!
