Tid Bits

First tid bit: ALERT for all those nursing Moms out there!!! Go to http://www.uddercovers.com/ and get a free nursing cover. Type in "1free" and you just pay the 8.95 shipping. They are normally $32. Even if your not nursing or not a mom this makes the best gift ever! (thanks to a good friend I am passing on this awesome deal.)
Now, on to more important things! We are getting ready for Halloween and the costumes are finally finished!! Yes, the big bad wolf and little red will be parading around in style! I made literally every inch of their costumes and they turned out super cute. Here's a sneak peek of what's to come! In fitting with the Halloween spirit we took the kids to the pumpkin patch here in town. It was a mini carnival with some cute little kiddie rides. Kailer totally soaked it up. He rode the swings, a pirate boat, a petting zoo, bounce houses, a train ride, and spinning boats. After the spinning boats he was so dizzy he started freaking out screaming, "I'm falling! I'm falling!" His world was spinning so much he couldn't walk straight, but he loved it and wanted to go again. We also got a couple of pumpkins for the kids to paint, but really Kailer painted both of them. He did a great job and was super proud of his work! Here's his cowboy outfit for the ward party, yeehaw! He said to me a couple of days later, "Mom, you remember that cowboy party? I wanna do another one of those!" Here's a few more tid bits, Kai has now become "the ipod boy". Rich got a new ipod touch for clinicals, which we all love :) If you have one you know how cool they are. He downloaded a bunch of free educational apps for Kai and he plays it when he gets home. He said to us the other day, "Mom, I'm just 'ipoding' right now." or "Mom, I really need to 'ipod' " As if it were adjective :) Love IT! Also, we moved Meili out of our bedroom (she has been sleeping next to our bed in a crib for the last year). Kailer was super excited to have a roomate, but she was a bit confused. She did ok, but then they spent about a half hour talking and laughing together, it was actually really cute. Kai even came out to tell me, "Mom, Meili's not laying her head down!" It is so nice to have our bedroom back, but I have to admit I got kind of used to her being there and it seemed a bit empty after moving her. I keep telling myself, CHANGE is good! Although, CHANGE means my baby is growing up! Here's a pic of their first night together, aren't they sweet :) Lastly, we went on our first bikeride tonight. This was a first for Meili and Kailer didn't seem to remember doing it last year, but they loved it so much I bet we will end up doing it almost every night! Kailer didn't want Rich to stop peddling even on the downhill and Meili took her binki out several times to clap and giggle! They were even holding hands in the carriage. It was so cute and so much fun. Ok, another fetish of his lately are bacugans. Not really sure what they are or who came up with them, but they are a hit in this household. He now has, count them, 4. His first baseball game was on Saturday and he was totally into it. He hit the ball a pretty good distance, twice and made it all around, which isn't hard to do in T-ball. He got the ball once and threw it to first, but the runner beat him out. More importantly though, he thoroughly enjoys every minute of it! Go KAI!

Take me out to the Ball Game!

So, we started baseball with Kailer this week and it was so funny to watch him. He followed his coaches around doing, to his best ability, what they asked of him, and tried his hardest to learn the game. He is starting to get the idea of running the bases and he is a magnet for the ball. If someone hits it, he's there, even if he's already standing on a base! Oh, it is so much fun to watch! You know what I'm talking about if you've started a kid really young in any sport for the first time; it is so entertaining! They don't get the game at all, but do their best to keep up and sometimes end up running around oblivious. He loves it and asks me every day if it is Tuesday or Thursday, which is when our practices are. My parents came down for the weekend and watched conference with us. We really enjoyed their company. We took the kids to parks and even went bowling. It was really nice to have them because Rich had to work the weekend. He works next weekend too, making for a 17 day stretch. After that we are off to Florida to visit my brother Dennis. YEY! One last photo, just love this pic, I color coordinated them for church. It's what I do best :)Also, I added new photos to the slideshow. Check 'em out!

VACATION!!!!

First off, I love going on vacation, because I don't have to do anything!!! Someone else feeds us, entertains us, and cleans up after us! We got to go to Zions over the weekend, staying in a hotel thurs and friday night. It was so nice just to let the kids run our schedule. When they were hungry we ate, when he wanted to hike, we hiked! When he wanted to swim we swam! Each night they were both asleep within 2 min of when they hit the pillows! We had 2 very full days, we got 3 decent hikes in, lots of swimming, an animal museum, apple picking, and lots of great food. We even heard elk bugling at each other and got to feed ostriches! It was so great to be able to give undivided attention to both kids at all times. I must share a few quotes from the man himself. We were in the car driving to a hike and we were talking about staying over night in the hotel. He says "Yeah, someday when I growed bigger I'm gonna lib in that hotel, and I'm gonna lib without you mommy and without you daddy. Then I will get in my car and buckle and dribe to you and pick you up in my car to see me." OK! STOP RIGHT THERE! My 3 year old just expressed way to much independence for me to handle!!! I got all teary eyed cause I couldn't believe that he was already thinking about leaving me! I said, "Oh, Kai :( " He said, "Don't worry Mom, I will always come pick you up." That's right future daughter in law, HE WILL ALWAYS COME PICK ME UP!!! Anyway, he was a total crack up, we so enjoy his spunky personality. On our last day after we had just gotten done picking apples in the orchard we were all sitting on the lawn eating ice cream and he says, "Mom, We sure enjoyed it here." OK!!! MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Not to mention that that sounded like it came from the mouth of a 10 yr old. Love it, Love him.

It's Not Everyday You Get to Ride an Elephant!

We went to the circus over the weekend and had a great time. Kailer loved seeing all the (his new word for the week) "ACROBATS" doing lots of tricks and stunts. To which we owe the credit for all the stunts and tricks being done in our house now! Watch out Evil Canevil here he comes. There were tons of animals. He loved the tigers and elephants and Meili of course loved the music. She was shakin' booty like nobody's buisness. We all had a great time. Kailer even got to ride an elephant! I wish I would have gotten to enjoy it more though, as I forgot that circus = animals = allergies = asthma = brain can't think about anything else but breathing. Lucky me I forgot to bring an inhaler. Anyway, all was well later, after several puffs :) What great fun! Life is good.

Photo Shoot!!!

My awesome friend took some beautiful pics of the kids together for Meili's birthday. Kailer did really well and really wanted to be lovey dovey with Meili. Sadly, she didn't want to have anything to do with him, so she threw lots of fits and was pretty moody. He however, was very proud of his new boots we got for him the night before. He showed them off with pride! Meili brightened up after we broke out the marshmallows following an outfit change. We got some really good ones after a little sugar was involved! We are so grateful for our friend, she did a great job! You can check them out at http://cid-9fe84ca039c2366f.skydrive.live.com/albums.aspx Here's a sneek peek!

Officially One!

It's official. I now have a 3 yr old and a 1 yr old! I can't believe it has gone by so fast. We celebrated Meili's birthday over the weekend and we were so excited to have both grandpas and grandma stay with us. We enjoyed some quality relaxation and just enjoyed each other. My mom and I stayed up till midnight the night before and we made a pink heart cake with a butterfly on it and heart cupcakes. It turned out so cute, it was hard to think that our masterpiece was going to be destroyed in .5 seconds! We celebrated at the park and it was super windy. Other than needing to tape everything down, including the chips on our plate, all went well! It was seriously so windy food was blowing off our plates! Meili enjoyed her cake even though she didn't get a lit candle. We actually had to cut her off because she was starting to inhale the frosting. She sneezed pink for an hour afterward. Kailer even got a couple of presents out of the whole deal. He had as much fun as if it was his own party. Thanks everyone for coming out in the HURRICANE! We love our Meili so much and we are so grateful for what joy she brings to our home. Thanks for helping us make her day special. WE LOVE YOU MEILI!

New Slide Show Pics!!!

I posted new slide show pics and here are a couple of others. I finally got my fourwheeling picture. Kailer is a maniac! We even threw Meili on. However, she definately was not into it. I couldn't tell if it was the fact that she and I were separated momentarily or if she just hated the ride. Maybe a lot of both!
This last week we took the kids to Paris! Ok, so just Paris on the strip. We got to swim in the pool thanks to our awesome friend and even more importantly Kailer got his picture taken by the Eiffel Tower!
I Can't Believe Meili will be 1 on Friday! She is so funny. She loves shoes and handbags. She will throw any bag over her shoulder and try to take it with her no matter how heavy it may be! She is obsessed with shoes and tries desprately to get anyones on her feet. The obsession has started early. I think we are in trouble with her. We love her loads and can't wait for family and a party this weekend! Don't forget about the new slide show pics!
