Gma and Gpa

We had Gma and Gpa for Easter. Aunt D came as well and we had good time coloring eggs with them. Kai was super excited. We even went to town square for an easter egg hunt that was super packed, we did happen to see vanessa carlton there though! It was pretty cool! Kai got a bunch of candy, which was all we were really after anyway :) It was fun though. Later on in their visit we spent time at parks and even found some ducks to feed. Rich had to have surgery on his back so it was great to be able to have mom stay and help for a while. He was slightly terrified of the ducks, but made himself laugh through his nerves...SONIC!!!!!!!!

Cannot believe it has been 2 yrs!

My little brother is coming home from his mission! I cannot believe it has been 2 yrs since he left, a lot has changed. We are so excited to see him soon and have him get to know the kids all over again :) Meili was a baby when he left, but knows him from pictures and prayers. Sometimes I really think Kai remembers doing things with uncle Daniel and I'm sure will be thrilled to play with him again :) It's also exciting that he comes home before I have the baby so he doesn't miss out on the beginning stages of our little guys life. Tomorrow is the last time we will get a letter from him while he's out and I know we will all miss getting that spiritual tuesday uplift, but so excited to have him back home again :)
Here's what life was like when uncle Daniel left...And here's how much has changed...We are so excited to see you again!!!
On a side note, but a large one!, we found out today that Rich matched for a residency for July 2012, it's either in missouri or utah, and we will find out for sure where on thursday! We are so excited and so relieved, we cannot even stand it! Life is good :)

Baby bump...

Everyone has been asking for an updated baby bump photo, which really isn't a bump, it's more like a watermelon... Here's a pic of 36 wks :) And I think Meili might be about 38 1/2, yes it was all her idea...
Here's just a few pics of the kids enjoying life... I'm trying to savor my last bit of time with 2 babies. Life will never be the same again. I'm excited for the baby to come, but trying not to wish my time away with these 2 precious little people. I'm so hormonal and teary lately that I find myself in their rooms at night just holding them wishing time would halt and I could hold them like that forever, which is due most definitely to pregnancy hormones! I have to remind myself constantly to enjoy today and embrace tomorrow. It seriously does go so fast... Love these little people, they are so special, enjoy the pics :)
This is what a couple hrs with Daddy equates to... cardboard +duct tape= weapons & armor, I'm just bummed I didn't get a pic of the helmet... It's truly a beauty!

Meili's new obsession is raisins. She could eat box after box... I finally cut her off the night before after like 3 boxes and then when I woke up, found her like this in the morning, hiding under the slide with, you guessed it, yet another box of raisins... as if I can't see her...Kai's new favorite thing... climbing trees...
Oh and just a little side note, pregnancy update, I went in last week for an appt and dr. said I was measuring a couple of weeks smaller than last time, so I'm headed in for an ultrasound tomorrow. She said he has moved down and my fluid levels are probably low, which they were with Meili, so I wouldn't be surprised to see that in the ultrasound. He's moving alot, so I'm not to worried, but we'll see what tomorrow holds :)

Blue Man and Uncle Tim :)

My sister Brenda's husband came down for a medical conference. He actually is still here because of weather issues getting back to MN. We had a great week. We went to a couple of buffets and Uncle Tim bought Kai tx to Blue Man. It could not have been a cooler experience for him. He soooo loved every minute of it. So much so that he came home, mind you it was 9:30 when he got home, which is really late for him, and literally crumpled onto the rocking chair. He was so exhausted, but even through sleepy eyes he told me that a blue man wiped blue paint on his cheek, which I was not allowed to wipe off, it took 4 days to leave his face :) And he told me that the blue men gave him a piece of toilet paper, (they threw paper mache on Kai as they were running in between the audience isles) and I have strict instructions not to throw that away, as a wadded up piece of TP is being worshiped in his bedroom on one of his shelves. It is pretty funny. We even had to save the blue man brochure from the evening :) He wore his blue man shirt for 3 days straight, I literally had to tear it off of him to wash it! What a cool thing for him, you know your a parent when your heart is so filled with joy even if you didn't experience the same thing they did, but your so filled with just the happiness they radiate :) It was definitely a night he won't forget. Thanks uncle tim :)Blue man drummers :)Blue cheek with TP in hand...Eating at the buffet :)Sleep eating at the buffet :)

Changes

Well we've done it, we switched Meili from her crib, which we need shortly, too her own toddler bed. I cannot believe how amazingly well she does with it. She has never once got out of bed, even for naps, and she doesn't even stand up like she used to in her crib. I don't know what it is, but I'm calling it a blessing! She is still napping! Yey for my sanity :) We had to buy a new one, and ended up with a cherry one off of craigslist($25, I love CL!!!), which we actually gave to Kai to help him feel special during the switch, Meili only cares that her bed has pink sheets :)
Over the weekend we were lucky to have a couple days off and went to Mesquite to see Matt and Sarah and hang out with Rich's step brother Jordan and Amanda. Their kids our exactly our kids ages. We have such a great time wtih them. We stayed in the same hotel and everyone took the kids swimming together and did some park hopping as well. We have reached a new park record... 4 1/2 hrs... It was a great park needless to say! The kids had a wonderful weekend and we brought them back exhausted! The Mom's even got to sneak away for a movie night, it was great!
We had our first date 9 yrs ago on Valentines Day, so it is a special day for us. I had the kids help me make sugar cookies, which is extremely touch and go, and I also made some chocolate covered strawberries. For dinner I picked up some steaks and lobster tails (living it up while we still can). It was sooo yummy! Then Rich came home and informed me he had called Katie (his cousin) to come watch the kids so we could go see a movie. It was an awesome night! We saw a great movie together that we were literally laughing so hard together our stomachs hurt. When we are together everything is better. Love you honey and love u babies. Happy 9 yrs!
Don't know if u can see it or not, but I did her hair in little twisted hearts for vday, it was pretty sweet!

Gparents

My parents came in for a long weekend and it was so nice! Rich worked a lot so we were able to keep busy with them. We spent our time at parks, Mcds, eating out, cleaning, ipoding, and just hangin out :) The kids enjoyed it so much, Kai had lego buddies and Meili had someone other than me read the same book to her over and over again! It was nice for all of us :) My mom is so great at motivating me, ok well, she did most of the work herself, but she helped me organize the kids' closet and get out all the baby boy clothes and go through them. Now they are all organized and I can actually see inside that closet! Huge weight off my shoulders! I think it has started my inner nestingness, cause I totally went on a cleaning spree today. It was so great to have them come and can't wait till next time, which will most likely be baby time! Oh and here's a couple of things I made over the weekend. Yes, my Dad used to be in the printing buisness and had letter stamps! We rocked it :)
