Powell and More

I know there tons of pics here, but I had to give a taste of what Powell was like. We all camped in our tent on a king air matress. If you know us well, you know we don't sleep with our kids, so this was a treat for us to all sleep together in our own tent. Alright, truth be known there were butts in faces, knees in backs, and whenever I moved Meili would wake up! Ok it wasn't that bad but after 3 nights we were ready for some space! Kailer had a great time fishing, he loves to catch them, but turns out he's more of a catch and release kind of boy. I actually caught a small mouth on his pole and after we realed it in he said "Now lets let him back in the water so he can go to his family." If you know my family, aside from my husband that is, they do not throw anything back unless it's a carp! So we convinced him that the fish already in the basket was his sister and they could now be togther. That's my sweet little man! There are some great shots here, enjoy!

Time out in the car turned into this...

Rich's fish got eaten by the birds!

We had a great trip, we then headed to my sister's in Provo, where apparently the Easter Bunny visited us once again. (He came to Powell as well!) We got to spend the week there and then traveled to price to visit more cousins. We had a great time, but are glad to be sleeping in our own beds again!

Happy Easter!

So we had our Easter this morning, as we are headed to Lake Powell for the weekend. It was pure fun! Kailer loved every minute. This year I attempted, and successfully I might add, to make chocolate covered peanut butter eggs. We got those every year when I was growing up with our names written on it in frosting. They were absolutely delicious! So, I made a few and they turned out great. Kailer was so excited to have something with his name on it from the Easter Bunny! We colored eggs with him the night before and our neighbor was pounding on our wall, nailing something I think, and Kai said, "Mom, what was that?!" Rich and I both looked at eachother and said, "I think it was the Easter Bunny! Maybe we should go check outside!" So, everyone he talks to now he says, "The Easter Bunny came and knock on my door three times!" He's convinced he was watching us color eggs. It was an awesome day. Here's a few photos and I'll try to upload a video, cause it is too precious!

Can You Guess What These Are?

So, the other morning I was feeding Meili prunes and Kai walks by and says, "Mom, what are you feeding her? Is that dog poop?" Laughed my head off, "No, honey I would never feed Meili dog poop." I was sewing the other day, Yes it's true, I was sewing... and Kai stops and says, "Oh my gosh Mom! That's my SPECK!" Yes, if you've seen Horton Hears a Who, you know what I'm talking about! Hey, what can I say? Looks like a speck to me!

Girls Weekend Out!

Meili and I had an awesome weekend with Rich's family. His Dad is getting remarried to a family friend so it was a girls weekend out. I will have 3 new sister-in-laws soon! Not like they weren't really family to begin with, as our families were close anyway! We all joked that this was a dry run to see if the two families could mesh successfully. Well, we'll give them the green light for the wedding! We had a great time together eating yummy food, doing a bit of shopping, and staying up way too late! We had some great talks and awesome sisterly bonding time. I love you guys, can't wait to make it official!
Check out these desserts!

Randomness

Here's a few tid bits from Kailer's head I thought I would share with everyone. We were playing play dough and spelling out Kai's name with the letters and I said what's your name so we can spell it? Kai: Kailer Austin Holt. My next question: What's my name? Apparently, it is Mommy Austin Holt!

We were talking about the scriptures the other night and asked him who wrote the Book of Mormon. "Angels wrote that book!"

I know most of my family has heard this one, but I love it. We were playing tennis with my sister and she smacked the ball hitting Kai. He looked up at her all whiny and said "Don't hit me Dana, I'm just a boy!" Love it! Don't worry he wasn't injured!

Oh, and by the way, I updated the slide show, enjoy!

Here they are!

Ok, so because the latest craze is diaper wipes cases, I had to attempt to make a few. I thought, how hard can that really be? Well, when you are as neurotic as I am it takes a bit more energy than one might think. A bit of fabric and one nasty hot glue gun burn later and whalla! Deanna, check out the bracelet, nice eh?

Our Little Diva

Well I finally got the pictures back from my friend who did pics of Meili for her buisness. They turned out awesome! Here are a few of them!

We love our sweet Meili Goo! (Kai's nickname for her), can't believe how 7 months have just flown by!
