What an advocate!

This is for all those headband wearing babes out there! I know they have all experienced this! Thankfully Meili has a big brother who is a wonderful advocate for her when I'm not paying attention. The other day while riding in the car Kai says "Mommy! Mommy! Meili got a headband on her two eyes!" What an awesome big brother! I have also heard, "Mom! Meili puked all over, Meili has headband on her one eye, and the latest, Mom! Meili has a huge snot bubble!" Love IT!

Oh, and on a side note Meili got to do an awesome photo shoot with a friend who owns a baby boutique buisness modeling her new spring line of flower clips. Check her sweet photos out at http://www.ccbabyinc.blogspot.com/ !

The extent of my craftiness

Here it is Dad, Thanks for the wood flower. A friend of mine was having a class on making hair clip holders and I thought I could just do it myself. Here's how it turned out, pretty spiffy eh?

Beauty

This picture captures the essence of why my life is so awesome and what I get to look forward to when I wake up in the morning. I love it when I capture a truly beautiful pic like this one! We spent the weekend at Valley of Fire state park about an hour from our house. We enjoyed great hiking, beautiful scenery, and some good quality family time. It was a great to be outdoors, it was 70 and therefore perfect hiking weather! Truly a beautiful Saturday!
Oh, I also changed the slide show, enjoy!

Time flies when you're having fun!

Since I posted last we've been doing a whole lot of playing! My sister Brenda from Minnesota came with her family to stay for a long weekend. We had a great time site-seeing at the strip, hiking, bowling, and eating good food! It was great to see her again and awesome to have some one on one time together with her family.
Then It was off to a trip to Utah for the week, mainly because I found I had 7 cavities, (don't forget to floss!) , but also because our townhome was being ripped to shreds, as all the plumbing had to be redone. Also, it was Rich's test week so we don't see much of him anyway. Well, it was my first trip with 2 kiddos by myself and I have awesome traveling kids, for the most part! We made it only on account of the 2 B's : Barney and Binkies! It was great spending time with my sister Michelle and her kids and not so great getting my mouth drilled on! Glad that it is done though. On the way back to Vegas we met Rich in St. George and spent the weekend at Zion's with my parents, sister Deanna, and brother Daniel. It is the last time we will see him until mid March when he leaves on his mission! It's crazy how time flies when you're having fun!

Embrace It

I can't believe that my baby is already 5 months! We did a little photo shoot in accordance with the special day! I was reading my friends blog today and she titled her post Happy/Sad. She said, and I whole heartedly agree, how happy she was that her children were learning, growing, and developing, but at the same time sad to see baby feet become big feet and have their sweet little milk breath become morning breath. I was thinking the other day when I took Kailer to the park how I wished I could shelter him from everything negative in his little world. They grow so quickly and I find myself every night with sun-downers, for anyone not in the medical field that is when old people go crazy when the sun goes down. Ok, so I'm not old, or crazy, at least I don't think I am, but everytime the sun goes down I get a bit melancholy and happy/sad over the ever changing beauty of my kids. To quote my friends mom regarding their ever changing lives she said, "embrace it for the moment, then let it go and find joy in the next phase." It sounds easy, but is so hard to do. That is my new goal for tomorrow, thanks guys!
