One last Utah Horrah...

We were lucky to get a week and a half off and head to ut for one last hurrah. We spent some time in price, which included fishing and golfing. It was so much fun to hang out and see everyone there. Kai and Mei had so much fun playing with cousins. We also spent some time in provo and saratoga with my sisters. Then Rich  and all the 'boys' went lake powell for the annual trip and did excellent as far as the fishing went. I think the weather cooperated for the most part too. Kai was in absolute heaven there. He could not get enough of it. He is a boy after his fathers heart, truly! He is a diehard. I am still hearing stories from him about uncle daniel's music, how he almost lit his head on fire, and how the cops pulled their boat over and checked it and everyone's licences. Especially about how he didn't think uncle daniel even had a fishing license! He had a great time and came home filthy :) The girls enjoyed thrift store shopping, crafting, and nights out together at the chocolate and iceburg. We had a lot of laughs and loved spending quality time together. Meili missed her brother, but enjoyed playing with grandma and watching movies. It was a wonderful last trip. We hope it won't be too long until we can make it back...

Uncle daniel showed us around his work and let us ride in the firetruck. It was pretty cool! Then while we were at the park a news station showed up and did a story on this climbing pyramid, it read: Five-year-old Kailer Holt was at the very top on Monday with his cousins, Savannah Warren, 12, and her brother Zach, who is 10. He said it was only a little scary climbing the rope structure inside the pyramid the first time but figures he could scale it again "in about four seconds."

Savannah Warren, left, her brother Zach Warren, center, and their cousin Kailer Holt take in the sights from the very top of the pyramid as they join other kids in Saratoga Springs playing and climbing on a giant pyramid Monday, April 23, 2012, at Neptune Park. (Photo: Scott G Winterton, Deseret News)       It was pretty cool!

Love eating at the restaurant!!!!             T got his first haircut on 4-20, just over 1 yr old :) He didn't like it very much... :(

Easter

Easter was lovely. We spent time together coloring eggs last night and got them all ready for the easter bunny (EB) to hide. Kai was so cute he drew a picture for EB and left carrots out for him. It was like christmas all over again :) We talked with the kids about the significance of Easter morning and the story of Jesus' resurrection. We talked about christmas again and that Jesus was born on christmas and Kai said 'well who is Halloween about?' So tough to get all this straight in their little minds :) We just keep reiterating with every Holiday. 6:30 this am came all too quickly for me as I stayed up late and made peanutbutter filled chocolate eggs for their baskets. They were sugar loaded by 730! Perfect for 830 church, right?!? :) Good times

Meili loved her new easter dress and Kai was thrilled that I made matching ties for the boys. He's so into matching right now! So grateful and so blessed to have these little people :)

Easter festivities

Instead of a big easter egg hunt where my kids were herded around like sheep and thrown into a trample fest where parents are dragging their kids to gather as many eggs as possible in 10 sec flat, I decided to be a little more low key this year. I love the rec centers here and all the fun activities they do for the holidays. For the spring fest on easter sat they had free pictures with the easter bunny, carnival games, face painting, candy, and bounce house. All for free! Honestly, you can't beat that. Rich had to work so I spent 3 hr there :) Tristan was happy as a lark to run around the gym and try to get into trouble; side note, he wasn't so into the easter bunny :) Meili was full of energy and did the bounce houses over and over, she also loved the face painting and chose a bumble bee?? no clue why. Kai was totally into the carnival games and did them over and over again completely filling both of their bags with candy. He wasn't into the face painting... come to find out later, the last time he had his face painted they used glitter and he was having none of that! ha. Kai said this was the best day ever! You just wait boy :)

McKee Ranch

I have so enjoyed spring break. It has been so nice not to have a schedule to have to revolve around. This place was awesome. It was so country/hick we loved it. It was true country livin :) The kids rode a horse, went on a hay ride and fed multiple buckets of carrots to the animals. Meili was so excited to ride a 'pony' and told me 'I am not afraid to feed those horses mom!' and she wasn't. They spent nearly and hour and a half of our 3 hours there on a homemade merry-go-round. It was so calm and the atmosphere was so chill there. We just soaked it up. It was so refreshing :) They were filthy when we got home, but it was so worth it :)
