Good times in UT

Our new favorite desert spot, 'The Chocolate' Absolutely delish!

And while the guys are away...
  The Ladies will play...
The guys went to Lake powell for 4 days and my sister, mom, and I stayed in provo with the babies :) we had a great time shopping, eating, and movie watching. The guys caught lots of fish and Kai had an awesome time at man camp. When they returned we celebrated my Dad's retirement (complete with chocolate fountain). He definitely deserved that and more. He is such a hard worker. We are very proud of him. We had such a fun couple of weeks in UT :)

Photo shoot

Sarah's sister Jen wanted to get some practice shooting little people on the go so we volunteered. She got some cute pics :) The little stinker Kai was stuck in his army phase, we had to do some serious barganing to get him to change for the rest of the pics :)

zions

We had a bit of a different trip to zions this year. It wasn't bad it was just different :) It rained almost the entire time we were there, we got part of one hike in and went to the top of the canyon to see the amazing waterfall at the beginning of the river walk. It was beautiful. We spent a lot of time swimming and enjoying each other and our hotel. We also ate some great food, which is always a huge highlight for us! We went and saw a cool 3d movie and let the kids play in the rain and mud. That was so much fun to watch them go crazy in the puddles. Meili was all about it, but Kai was a little more hesitant. She would dive into the puddles on her belly and he was not about to go that far, he'd jump in them but Meili would totally belly flop and sit in them. They are so different in that way :) Grandma and Grandpa Holt happened to be there for a couple of days that we were there and we went to dinner and swam with them and attempted to do a hike together. It was really great to hang out with them there. Like I said it was a different zions experience full of things we havn't done before. We love getting away as a family together and this time we even added one more to the bunch :)

Blessing Day

Look at this beautiful little man that we made :) Rich blessed Tristan on sunday and he did such a wonderful job. It was such a special time and we were so happy to be able to have all our family there for it. He looked so handsome :)
In the name of Jesus Christ, we come before thee, and take this infant into our arms and give him a name and a blessing. The name by which he should be know here on this earth and by the records of the church is Tristan Saito Holt. Tristan at this time we give unto you a blessing. We bless you with health and strength, that your mind body and spirit will be able to grow healthy and strong, that you may know of the love that your family here on this earth and those that have passed on before you have for you and as you go through your life you will be able to feel of the support that you have and know the love of all of those individuals and that they are here to help you and to guide you. We bless you Tristan to grow in the church and to be able to develop your own testimony and to be a strength to our heavenly father and to his kingdom on the earth throughout your life. We bless you that as you face challenges in your life that you will be able to overcome them. That you may rely on the lord to be able to help you through hard times and that you may also be able to rely on those around you and rely on your own testimony and the promptings of the holy spirit. We bless you Tristan that as the time comes that you may be able to serve a mission and that you may be able to take the gospel to the world and to those that do not have it. That you can fulfill the callings that you are given and that you will be able to be a leader in the stewardships that you are given. We bless you Tristan that you may be able to find a worthy companion to seal in the temple to, to have your own eternal family and to realize the blessings of an eternal family and the joys that it brings. We bless you that you may be able to be an example and a strength to your brother and sister and that you may enjoy your family and that you may be able to use your talents and abilities to help them along the way as well. We bless you to know of the love that our father in heaven has for you and again the love that all of us have for you here. We leave these blessings with you and all others that our father in heaven sees that you stand in need of at this time and do so in the name of our lord and saviour Jesus Christ, Amen.

Grateful

I am so grateful to have these little people around me. Here's a few reasons why...
I love that I can kiss all I want on Tristan and he can't push me away
I love that he has milk breath and I love to smell it
I love that he makes more of an exasperated whine than a real cry
I love that all he needs to calm down is to hear my voice or feel me touch him
I love that when I hold him his little body curls up and just melts into mine
I love it when he inhales to sneeze and all that comes out is a big high pitched 'aaaahhhhh'
I love that Meili is crazy, loud, and silly and that she has a little bit of boy in her
I love that even though she's rough she still loves girly clothes, bracelets and bows
I love that she can outeat her brother 3:1 and I love her chunky little thighs
I love her big brown eyes and that she is slightly neurotic
I love that she loves to dance, loves music, and loves to read stories
I love that she wants to be just like her big brother and that Daddy is her favorite
I love that Kai is cautious, responsible and a little neurotic
I love that he will always try new things and that he always wants to be the 'bad guy'
I love that he loves his siblings so passionately and that he is so sensitive and sweet
I love his creative mind & imagination & that he loves to draw treasure maps
I love that he loves music, fishing, baseball & riding his bike without training wheels
I love that he's bright, so observant, an awesome reader and writer already, and that he's so excited for school
I am truly grateful to call myself mom to these awesome babies :)
