campout

We went to vernal for the weekend to go to my parents ward campout, it was a blast. The kids had an awesome time. There were pony rides, face painting, fourwheeler rides, and games. Kailer rode the pony probably 30 times, and I'm not kidding. Meili oddly enough rode it once and didn't feel the need again. Kai rode the four wheeler 3 or 4 times, and when asked which was his favorite thing to do, he said, "oh mom I can't choose they are both my favorite." They were so excited to sleep overnight in the camper. We ate great food and roasted marshmallows. Meili got absolutely filthy, she is one of the messiest children I know... She almost needed 2 showers to get the caked dirt off of her. She loves to sit in the dirt and pour it onto herself then rub it into her legs. Such a boy thing to do! Kai is so not like that. Camping was so much fun and we are so glad we went.

sisters and more sisters

Love hanging out with my sisters. We have been spending a lot of time together this week and doing plenty of fun things. It has helped to take my mind off of things lately, although hasn't completely filled my ever missing void... Ahh we are half way done with this month and are now on the down hill slide. Can't wait to be a family again :) Anyway on the positive note, we've been playing at water parks, enjoying the outdoors, playing at the zoo, and spending time with cousins. Bridal Veil FallsOne of the highlights of the zoo :)Cousins Jaydn and Brenon, had a great day playing with them at their house :)And yes, It is exhausting, this just might be one of my favorite pictures of all time... :)I shall leave you with the latest creative burst of energy, yes from both of them :)

Vernal Fun!

We spent a week in vernal with my parents and my sister Brenda came down from Minnesota. It was so much fun to see her and spend time with the grandparents :) Here's a bit of what we spent our time doing. Pics are the best way to show all our happenings, so prepare yourself, there are many...

Football...
Bubbles...
Remote controlled cars...Fishing...which apparently is soooo exhausting :)Geocaching...if you don't know what it is, google it, it is our new favorite thing!!!And last but not least, hiking... Kai was the biggest hiker, we climbed the hugest mountain! He was so proud of himself that he did the whole hike. It was definitely a challenge, but felt so good, we were pretty high up and got some great pics. He was my little hiking buddy, while Meili slept in the camper with grandma. He did ask me on the way down if I would hold him, but with further proding it wasn't because he was tired, it was because he was afraid he was going to get bit by a rattle snake :) No worries, we didn't happen upon any...These babies miss you Daddy, but we are keeping ourselves busy. Here's to the next 3 weeks :)

Jumping on the Potty Train again :)

Well it's time for round two here. Mei has started potty training herself so I decided to seize the moment and jump on the bandwagon again. It is exhausting and draining, but I really think she will be much faster and easier than Kai if we can just master wearing underwear without feeling like its a diaper. She's been naked for a week and its time to graduate to undies! We bought some elmo and tinkerbell undies and she's in love with them. She even tried to stick her cell phone in her 'underwear pocket'. I'm praying for strength to tackle this again. Wish me luck...
Also we spent the weekend in St George with rich's family. We did the parade for the 24th and the kids rode some kiddie rides afterwards. They even got their faces/bodies painted. Kai was so happy about his snake and Meili couldn't stop petting her butterfly :) We did a lot of swimming and ate great food! Kai loves his little cousins and he was sad to leave, but now that they are in mesquite the visits will be much more often.
Can't get enough of these babies...

Kai turns 4!

We had so much fun making these, Kai asked for spidey this year, so that is what I did! We took some friends to the local bounce house and kai had so much fun. Then they all came over for cake and icecream. Kai rocked at hitting the pinata and it was a huge 'hit' haha (no pun intended) with all of the kids. Too bad they are 20 bucks a pop or we'd do that everyday!Even Mei enjoyed herself, especially when she gets to wear a party hat!
We had so much fun and thank everyone for making his birthday fun :) He has great friends and loves them all so much. I can't believe he is already 4. Time is flying for me, I'm not ready to send him to kindergarten yet! Maybe in a year I will be, but I doubt it. He is my little buddy and he helps me so much. Not sure who will miss him more when that time comes, me or Meili. She loves him so much and he can't get enough of her. They watch out for eachother and I hope they continue to be buddies. Love you Kai man! 1 year closer to seeing that blue man group! oh and here's a list of his favorites, some of which I don't understand :)
