Uncle Tony

We were so blessed to be able to spend time with uncle tony before his passing. He will be missed so much. We found out early in January of his cancer that spread to the brain and it was heartbreaking news. He was very much the life of the party and the kids will miss his playful spirit. He got to meet Darci for the first time and told us how beautiful she was. He always told us we made beautiful children.
We enjoyed one outing together to the kid's favorite playland in town and he got a cherry slushy. He wanted to get lots of pictures and videos of the kids in the playland. It's a great memory.
When Meili found out uncle tony was sick and not going to get better she said with tears in her eyes, 'oh no that's so sad. He's so much fun to play with and he always gives us fun toys.' She loved to walk by him and tickle his feet, she and Kai would next to him and read, and Meili especially loved his googly eyed stuffed animals, which he ended up giving to her. She has since put his picture in a locket that she loves to wear. The kids think about him when we watch his despicable me 2 movie that he left after we watched it together and I think about him every time I make another green smoothie.
He loved my smoothies and I loved taking care of him.
I'm so grateful that I was able to serve and grow closer to he and Dennis. It brought our family together and it was so amazing to have so much love in my home. It truly felt so empty as our time together came to a close. We had many good times and lots of difficult ones as well. He will be missed so much.

February Fun

We love going to gymnastics meets at Mizzou and the kiddos just love Truman!
Little Darc is just 5 mo now and is up on her hands and knees and rockin and rollin! She is lunging forward and I'm sure will be crawling before she's 6 mo. She is so yummy :)
12 years ago on Vday was our first date! I love taking a 'LOVE day' photo every year just to remind myself of the beautiful life we started way back when. We created such awesome little valentines :) Happy love day!

Jan 2014

January was full of new things! We went iceskating for the first time that the kids can remember and the 2 oldest had a great time, but T was less than thrilled, it was still worth it though! Next year maybe he'll be more on board! Darci has really started sucking her thumb, if the binki isn't in, her thumb is! It's cute now, but it won't be later! At a week shy of 5 mo she is up on all 4s and rocking and burying her face in the floor and pushing. She is definitely starting to move! We also started feeding her a little rice cereal at night and she is loving it!
Mom and Dad came home from grams with us and help give me the support to potty train T! Needless to say, it only took a week, he was super ready, and he's completely trained now! It is amazing. Couldn't and wouldn't have done it without them :) They drove from our house to Dennis and Tony's in FL and drove them to maryland to get married. So happy for them, we love them so much.
Meili's family photo, she is a great big sister
Kai loves his karate class and recently won sensei says amongst all the kids in his class. He was pretty excited. On the same night Meili climbed to the top of her gymnastics rope and rang the bell! She suffered a raspberry on her inner thigh as a result, but was still thrilled with doing it.
We are sure lucky folks :)

Grams & New Years!

We met Bre and Mom/Dad at Grams house and got to spend time with cousins & aunts/uncles there. We even found time to see a movie out with Jen & Mike this time! Darci is 4 mo and learned to roll from her back to her belly while we were there. It was so fun to see everyone again :)
These guys were fast friends :)

The kids and I decorated and blew up balloons for new years, we did cheers and had a blast. They all stayed up till midnight!
Gram is a partier. We had the best week with her! We could barely keep up with her! She loves cards and played skip bo with the kiddos and euker till 2 and 3 in the morn every night! She's doing amazingly well for 91 and can't wait to see her again soon! We love Gram :)
