Poop Talk :)

As of late "poop talk" has become a common occurrence at our house. Kai has become bored with sitting alone in the bathroom while he poops so he hollers from his porcelain throne, "MOM! DAD! Come have some poop talk with me!" So today's Poop talk consisted of sharks, alligators, and dragons. There was also discussion of 'some day when he has a blue motorcycle and a truck that he will drive us to work and then he will live in the basement.' Happy to hear that he will be taking up permanent residence in our basement :) Oh how I love this boy and his antics...
This weekend we went to the temple and traded off with the kids, It is always a lot of work, but so worth it. Then we took the kids bowling and it was so fun, they both love it. Meili just dances to the music and does her happy feet dance because she's so excited about all the balls and lights and Kailer really loves to bowl. He so enjoys challenging things. It was a wonderful weekend together :) Here's a few pics of Mei accessorizing...

Valentine's Day

My parents came to visit this weekend and we got a nice break. It has been hard with the kids being sick on and off again the past couple weeks. We got to go out both Friday and Saturday night to dinner and a movie. It was great to spend some time together. We took my parents and brother-in-law to the freemont district again, which was a really fun atmosphere on Valentine's weekend. Meili is cutting her bottom molars now and they are both battling illnesses again, so our house is very whiny :) We are trying to keep it together. Thanks for the well needed break this weekend Mom and Dad. Here's a pic of the sickies...

New Slide Show Pics!!!

This last weekend we spent some time with uncle Tim as he was here for a convention. We had a really great time with him, eating great Thai food, seeing the dam, and visiting Freemont street. The kids really enjoyed having some entertainment! Kai kept trying to convince Uncle Tim to take a bath with him and his toy sharks from Sea World, which has become a daily (if not more) activity lately. We had to kindly decline that oh so awkward request :) Great relaxing weekend spent fixing and riding bikes, and we now have more fixing to do since the chain broke on Rich's halfway through our ride :( But the kids still had fun being walked home in their carriage. We are certainly loving the awesome weather here right now!! Here's a couple pics

Sea World

SNAGGLETOOTH!!!! If you look closely Mrs. Snaggletooth is sporting 3 new teeth, which are all coming in crooked!!!Kai's buddies :)
Well we had a rather impromptu trip this weekend to sea world! Rich's doctor that he is working with said he wanted to take mon off, which means that we had a 3 day weekend! So we went and stayed with my friend Ambrea for 2 nights and enjoyed sea world. Meili loves animals and got so excited around the sea lions, well pretty much any bird or moving thing! She could not get enough of the shows and running around ooohhing and awwinngg over everything. Kai loved the sea lion show and loved shamu. He is all about the "killer" whale. It just sounds dangerous. His favorite thing was doing things hands on like petting the dolphins, and feeding the flamingos, sea lions and sting rays. The sea lion show was hilarious, it was called SLL sea lions live it was like SNL and they did parodies on tv shows, movies, and celebrities. It was hilarious, rich and I were just dying laughing. Kailer loved it. He was laughing hysterically when the seals were bootie shaking it to michael jackson. It was so much fun to let the kids roam and run, the weather was a beautiful 60 degrees and sunny and there was literally no one there. It was such a fun family rich day and we can't wait for more family vacations like that. Here's some pics of the weekend.

Rich feeding the rays, as you can see Kai is very tentative, these things were super aggressive! Although, not more aggressive than the birds. One even scraped Kai's finger as it ripped a fish out of his hand!

Baby Love

Rich spent Saturday playing super Dad while I flew to SLC for my sister-in-law's baby shower. It was great to see everyone and my parents drove up to hang out with me for the day. We did some shopping and ate at my fav restaurant. It was a great day for everyone! Just wanted to share a few photos. This is my life in a nutshell and I can't get enough of these babies!

Fish Happenings :)

Well we had a new addition to our family for approximately 5 days. We bought Kai a beta fish, which he adored and named "Nemo" and we also bought two crabs which he named "Dory" and "Buddy" He absolutely loves them and watches them eat and swim daily several times a day. Last night we had an unfortunate event. "Nemo" went to heaven :( Apparently Walmart isn't great in the fish department, as he didn't last long at all. It was the saddest thing I have ever seen watching a 3 yr old deal with death! He literally screamed and cried for over an hour. He was absolutely heartbroked. As tears were streaming down his face, he said "My eyes are dripping!" He kept saying, "I don't ever want another fishy and I will never name another fishy nemo!" We explained that he was sick and now living with heavenly father, but it didn't console him much. I asked him if he could stop crying after about 30 minutes and he looked at me and screamed, "No mom! I can't! My fish just died!" Rich and I both had tears in our eyes watching him go through this and there was really nothing we could say or do to make it better. He wanted to help Rich bury him under the rocks outside, even through his sobs. So we fish shopped today after a long nights rest and literally went to 2 Walmarts looking for the right colored one, because it had to be exactly like "Nemo" and now we have a new "Nemo" from petsmart :) We have had extremely involved conversations about death for a 3 yr old, he even asked me if people die. Yikes, he's so observant. Regardless, he is so happy now, lets hope this one lives longer than 5 days. Here's a pic of the old "Nemo" with Dory and Buddy included :)
